00Process

A delivery process you can audit.

Six phases. Each one has a duration, a price and a written output, so you always know which phase you are in and what it is producing.

01DISCOVER

Discovery & scope

1 – 2 weeks

We learn the process before proposing a system. Sessions with the people who do the work, a read of the systems already in place, and an honest map of what is fixed and what is negotiable.

What happens

  • Stakeholder and end-user interviews
  • Review of current systems, data and integrations
  • Constraint capture: compliance, budget, deadlines
  • Risk and unknowns register

What you get

Scope documentPrioritised requirement listRisk register

02ARCHITECT

Architecture & estimate

1 – 2 weeks

A written technical plan you can challenge: boundaries, data model, integration contracts, hosting, and the failure modes we design against. The estimate is built from this, not from a hunch.

What happens

  • System and data architecture
  • Threat model and security requirements
  • Technology selection with trade-offs stated
  • Work breakdown and phased estimate

Architecture documentThreat modelPhased estimate & schedule

03BUILD

Build in slices

2-week cycles

Delivery in fortnightly slices, each ending in something running on a real environment. You see progress in the product rather than in a status report.

What happens

  • Two-week delivery cycles with a demo at the end
  • Pull request review and automated testing
  • Preview environment per change
  • Weekly written progress note and burn-up

What you get

Working incrementsTest suite in CICycle demos & notes

04HARDEN

Harden & assure

1 – 2 weeks

Before launch, our security team tests what our developers built, and we load-test against the traffic you expect on your worst day rather than your average one.

What happens

  • Internal penetration test and code review
  • Load and soak testing against target volumes
  • Accessibility and cross-device verification
  • Backup, restore and rollback rehearsal

What you get

Findings report & fixesPerformance baselineRollback runbook

05LAUNCH

Launch & handover

1 week

A rehearsed cutover with a rollback path, then a genuine handover: documentation, walkthroughs and credentials transferred into your accounts.

What happens

  • Cutover plan with rollback checkpoints
  • Monitoring, alerting and on-call setup
  • Team walkthrough and admin training
  • Ownership transfer of repos, accounts and domains

What you get

Production releaseRunbooks & documentationMonitoring dashboards

06OPERATE

Operate & improve

Ongoing, optional

Support with response times in writing, dependency and security patching, and a quarterly review that decides what to build next from usage data rather than opinion.

What happens

  • Support with agreed response targets
  • Dependency, patch and certificate management
  • Usage review and roadmap sessions
  • Recurring security reassessment

What you get

Support agreementQuarterly reviewMaintained platform
07Cadence

You should never have to ask for a status update.

Reporting arrives on a schedule whether the news is good or not. Silence is not a delivery strategy.

Weekly

Written progress note

What shipped, what is next, what is blocked.

Fortnightly

Demo of working software

On a real environment, not slides.

Monthly

Invoice with burn-up

Spend against estimate, variance explained.

Quarterly

Roadmap review

What usage data says to build next.

08The other half

What we need from you.

Projects rarely fail on engineering. They fail on decisions that take four weeks to make. This is the short list that keeps a build moving.

  • 01One decision-maker reachable each week
  • 02Someone who can answer domain questions
  • 03Access to the systems we need to integrate with
  • 04Feedback on demos within three business days
  • 05Early warning of internal deadlines and freezes

If any of these are difficult in your organisation, tell us during discovery. We can design the engagement around it — we just cannot design around finding out in month three.

Start at phase one

Discovery is fixed fee and starts in two weeks.

You end it with a written scope, an architecture and an estimate accurate to about 15% — whether or not you build it with us.
