05Our methodology

How the number is actually built.

Most estimates hide the method. We show you exactly how quantities are measured, priced, and adjusted for real-world conditions.

01

Measured from your drawings

Quantities are scaled and calculated from architectural, structural, and MEP plans — not guessed. Every measurement is itemised by CSI division.

02

Current market pricing

Material costs reflect supplier pricing in your region for the month you are building. Labour rates account for local wage conditions and project complexity.

03

Waste and contingency factored

Material waste percentages vary by type — concrete, lumber, tile, and finishes each carry realistic overage. Contingency is a separate line, not buried.

04

Equipment and temp works

Crane rental, scaffolding, site power, hoarding, and temporary facilities are costed where drawings indicate they will be needed.

06What we need

The inputs that produce an accurate estimate.

More complete plans mean tighter numbers. If something is missing, we will flag it and estimate around it with assumptions itemised.

  • Architectural plans (floor plans, elevations, sections)
  • Structural drawings if available
  • MEP drawings for mechanical, electrical, plumbing trades
  • Site plan showing grading and utilities
  • Specifications or material preferences
  • Project timeline or required delivery date

Do not have all of these? Submit what you have — we will work with partial drawings and let you know what assumptions we are making.
